Myler ported snaffles offer the horse more comfort and the rider the ability to communicate more clearly with the horse, due to the Independent Side Movement facilitated by the bushing system within the barrel. As the rider takes up the contact, the angle of pull (some 30-40o above the horse's mouth), causes the port to rotate forward, creating tongue relief. All Myler Bits are forward-curved to complement the mouth anatomy and they are engineered for a smooth and reliable action.
The 33 Ported Barrel mouthpiece gives the most tongue room and is most suitable for a horse quite advanced in his training, showing a considerable degree of athleticism and collection, who is working well of all the rider's aids, not just through the rein.
